Childhood and studies

She lived in Beyrut and Pakistan before her family relocated in the USA (Boston) when she was 4 years old.
Melinda's earliest experiences in theatre were with the Boston Children's Theatre.
In her first performance there in 1975, "Thumbelina and the Ugly Duckling", she played the role of "first singing flower from the left".
She went on to play other roles such as a party guest in the 1976 production of "Cinderella".
She attended Buckingham Brown and Nichols School, Bennington College.
Then Melinda was accepted at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
She appeared in many theatrical productions ("Twelfth Night", "Don Carlos", "The Foreigner", "El Cid", "The Mask of Moriarty" among others) until she relocated to the USA in 1990.
Active in Los Angeles theater, Melinda studies (?) acting in the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

In 1993, she produced Ellen McLaughlin's "Days and Nights Within" at the Whitefire Theater in Los Angeles, which won Drama-logue Awards in the "Best Actor" and "Best Actress" categories.
